Meet Annabel

My experience comes from both corporate and not-for-profit sectors which has given me an excellent understanding of the business environment and how effective corporate partnerships can deliver on multiple objectives for all parties.

I believe in collaborative working and am exceptionally insightful when it comes to understanding customers.  This enables me to develop powerful propositions on behalf of my clients, and secure the right partners for them in order to further the ambitions of the charity or organisation I am working for.

My working style

Firstly, I take time to ensure I understand my client properly; in that I mean the organisation itself, its people, its beneficiaries/members/clients, its wider stakeholders and most importantly its values and ambitions.

Working with companies can bring huge benefits. Usually the starting point is finding new ways to generate income, and that’s really important for charities. Especially those who might not easily generate individual giving, event fundraising or Charity of the Year partnerships. So working out how to make a good case for funding to companies needs some thought.

I bring exceptional insight to this, having developed many different income generating activities between charities and companies. I am customer focused through and through, so can understand the company’s perspective, needs and wants from the relationship and tailor what you do to meet that.

But income aside, let’s think big. What else could you achieve with a corporate partner? Maybe you could deliver more projects, reach more people, campaign more strongly, grow your network? It’s great when a partnership can deliver on multiple levels.

Sectors

I work across many different types of charities and enjoy getting to know a different subject, but I am particularly passionate about wellbeing initiatives, for example:

  • Improving quality of life for the elderly
  • Promoting and enabling physical activity to achieve better mental health
  • Art Therapy, and the arts in general
  • Social connection & community wellbeing
  • Workplace wellbeing
  • Supporting people affected by long term conditions, such as diabetes
  • Supporting people affected by dementia

Where I work

I am based in South Bucks with easy access into London and around the South East, but most of my work is carried out remotely so location won’t get in our way. And anyway, I love a good excuse to get around the country having lived in the North West for many years.

My work/life balance

I am an artist, usually painting people but more recently I have been painting pets. It is incredibly rewarding to see the joy and emotion on people’s faces when they receive their pet picture. Art Therapy and Animal Therapy all in one!

I also enjoy playing tennis and badminton and run regularly. Slowly, but regularly!

My favourite time is spent with my husband and son (age 9), especially being outdoors, working on the garden or exploring new places around the UK.
